Mini Album to go with the Vintage Card

Here is the toilet paper mini album I made to go with my friend's card.  This is my first video so it's a little (ok - a lot) off in so many ways.  The one thing I looooove about making things for scrappy friends is that they ALWAYS appreciate the effort and you don't have to drive yourself nuts to make it perfect.  This was so much fun to make, and even though its pretty small, it took me almost a week to complete.  I can't wait until I can say I made a mini in a couple of hours.  I think I'm waaay to analytical for that.  LOL

Supplies:
Tim Holtz Lost and Found Paper, distress inks and gears
Iamroses flowers
Recollections flowers

60th Birthday Card

This a card I made for one of my best friends. We met when I was but a wee lad in college. She has been a great friend and mentor.

Purse Card

So, I'm catching up on my posts. A lot of these cards were made a while ago but I never got a chance to post. This purse card was cut by hand. The closure has a faux skin technique by using embossing powder and then dragging my bone folder through it to create an animal skin look before heat drying it. The handle is a piece of boa. The PP actually has a black velvet flocking so the card had a lot of texture just like a real purse.

Tim Holtz Vintage card

I made this card for a scrappy teacher-turned-friend who not only shares my love for cards but also the same birthday as me. She is a totally vintage girl, so I made this "Jeannette" style. It was so hard not to reach for bling or glitter but I love the way it turned out. I used the Tattered Florals die for the flowers, distriss inks, glimmer mist, masks, and UTEE on the crown. The challenge was to use techniques and products I don't normally use. The back of this card was a hot inky mess by the time I finished but I think she can appreciate the effort. Lol.
