The Journey Continues

This is a card I copied straight from a Cricut idea book.  When I first got my Cricut I was so intimidated.  I would cut things out sparingly because I was afraid I would break it or mess it up.  The first paper I ever cut was construction paper because I didn't own any cardstock when I bought the Cricut.  Well, that wasn't a good idea.  The fuzzy stuff on the paper stuck to my mat and made a mess.  You live and you learn.

The inside is computer generated.

These are birthday cards I've made for different friends and family.  As you can see, I love busy, interactive cards.

It's amazing how long it can take to make a card when you first start.  At least it would take me forever.  Every choice and placement seemed like a major decision. I stayed up until the wee hours working on this one.  I still wouldn't say that I can "whip" out a card or two in no time, but I've come a long way baby!!

I saw this card in a book. I don't even think it was a card.  I think it was some type of scrapbook layout or mini-album.  I thought that it would make a really cool card.  It opens like a book and has a magnet holding it closed.  On the left is a pocket for a gift certificate.

This card was made for a doctor who liked to travel.  The clipboard pulls out and my friend was able to write a little "prescription" for a happy birthday.
